Use the Viewports Toolbar
for viewport scaling. Select the appropriate scale from the drop-down
list while inside the viewport (model space).Type “MS” on the command line or double-click inside the view port.
Type “Zoom” on the command line.
Type “1/24XP” to scale to 1/2”=1’-0”, Hit enter and your drawing should appear to have increased in size.
Pan the drawing around to position the drawing within the view port (always pan, if you zoom, you will change the scale factor.)
“Zoom” <Enter> “1/48XP” <Enter> scales the view port to 1/4” scale
“Zoom” <Enter> “1/96XP” <Enter> scales the view port to 1/8” scale
